The past couple of days have meant inservice for me as a teacher. We meet and discuss curriculum updates; the bonds of team members begin knitting while working on a common project. We have four days of building inservice next week, and then we start August 21. Teachers, play ball!

Perhaps now E. Elliott will realize that he has to behave a certain way since he is in the public eye. I want him to figure it out now. Six games hurts my Cowboys' offense, yet it has taken an inordinate amount of time for the league to take action. This is a head-scratcher.
First Take - I have set my DVR so that I can watch Stephen A. go off about Jay Cutler returning to play football. Do NOT tell me what he says. I want to see it for myself. I have to go to work today and set up my classroom, so I'll be out of pocket.
As a recent (read since 1977) Rangers fan, it will be sad to see Yu Darvish battling against the Mets tonight, but now he gets to work on his batting in the NL. As a lifelong Dodgers fan, I am happy though. And Vin Scully is STILL the only voice of the Dodgers.
My Dallas Cowboys won last night, 20-18, and my family is happy to have gridiron on the menu. I wish the NFL would finish up their investigation into E. Elliott's shenanigans. Tsk! Give him a suspension for a game or two to send a message. End of story.
Hats off to Mike Fisher, the Predators player who retired the other day. Best wishes to you in your renewed purpose off the ice.
