I enjoyed watching my Rangers avoid a rally by the Astros on Easter Sunday. It was tense.

Davis Got a Hit, Finally!

Greetings! I guess I waited long enough to get back into the swing of things. I've been watching MLB Network and getting the goods on some of my favorite players who moved teams.  I miss Adrián Beltré at third base for the Texas Rangers. ¡Capitán!

I am glad Chris Davis got a hit in yesterday's win over the BoSox. Finally!

And is anyone else surprised about the Rays, Mets, and Padres leading their divisions at this time? I looked and saw the facts, and my jaw hit the floor. Wow. Let's see how things turn out in the next couple of weeks.

Pie in the Sky Day

Cole Beasley will be catching balls for the Buffalo Bills. The Rangers tied in yesterday's game a la Cactus League. In two weeks, Opening Day commences. All 30 teams will take part, and I will be checking scores in either joy or agony. As Seal says, "Life carries on."

Former Giants WR Odell Beckham, Jr. is now a Cleveland Brown. Yasmani Grandal is now catching for the Milwaukee Brewers. Andrew McCutchen is in Philadelphia. Conor McGregor made headlines by behaving badly about a mobile phone the other night. So many changes that make my wee head swim.

NFL Conference Championships

I admit I haven't watched the NFL until the playoffs began in earnest. Now we have the AFC Championship featuring the Kansas City Chiefs (Texas Tech's own Patrick Mahomes, II) vs. the New England Patriots. Yawn. In the NFC Championship, the LA Rams (who beat my Dallas Cowboys!) face the New Orleans Saints.
