I saw that Tom Brady has a two year contract extension. Peyton Manning is expected to retire this week. Here is the nutty one: Tony Romo the Dallas Cowboys playcaller for the next four or five years. I mean no disrespect to Mr. Romo. His body has endured multiple injuries. That left clavicle has been broken twice in less than twelve months; he is contemplating surgery to insert a plate that would protect his fragile collarbone. It's time to do something else, Tony.
And no, I do not think Steph Curry is human. I will observe him more closely to see if I can find a loose wire or something. That soul-killing shot at the end of the Warriors-Thunder game just defies any type of description. He is not human.

The House is Protected
My Texas A&M Aggies' mens basketball team won over Kentucky 79-77. Whoop! I am savoring today's victory and not worrying about tomorrow or the NCAA tourney in a few weeks.

Sickness Struck Again!
I watched the Super Bowl with a horrible sore throat that turned into laryngitis. This is a problem as a middle school language arts teacher. I have made do with the look and one-inch conversations at a whisper. The students have responded well.
I just do not know what to think about the allegations about the Sheriff aka Peyton Manning. I am usually suspicious when disparaging reports surface after a huge, crowning success happens. If the allegations are true, then a Yellow Flag of Shame is covering his legacy. If they are untrue, then the ones who spread lies, rumors, and filth should lose their audience and credibility.

Aggies and the Pros
Collegiate Hoops
Not the Razorbacks! Ugh. My Texas A&M Aggies mens' basketball team ran out of time against the Arkansas Razorbacks 74-71. Ugh.
My Lady Aggies take on the Alabama Crimson Tide on Thursday evening. Gig 'em, Aggies!
Professional Hoops
Cleveland won against Phoenix! Good job, LBJ and company.Boston prevailed over Denver.
Golden State notched a win over Dallas. At least the Mavericks were only 20 points behind at the end.
The Los Angeles Clippers edged Atlanta with a score of 85-83.
I know this is not the sport for it, but a Yellow Flag of Shame to Blake Griffin for injuring his hand in a fight with the team equipment manager. Maybe I can charge him with a technical for a nonsensical decision. Oy vey!
A Passing NFL Note
Could we be "seeing double" with the Gronkowski family? The youngest brother Glenn, a standout at KSU, planned to meet the Patriots this evening. Hmm. . .Lady Grid out.

Conference Championships
At long last, the championship games are here. The first game features the New England Patriots at the Denver Broncos. Vegas favors the Patriots, but I favor the Broncos. It is time to send Pretty Boy packing. No more jawing about "Deflategate." Send them home.
In the late afternoon/early evening game, we see the Carolina Panthers hosting the Arizona Cardinals in Charlotte, North Carolina. I like Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald, and Patrick Peterson; however, my son would be over the moon to see his beloved Panthers in the Super Bowl. There would be no living with him over the next two weeks. I am prepared.
Broncos - 31, Patriots - 28
Panthers - 35, Cardinals - 24

Cue Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust"
Where is Freddy Mercury? His services are needed to sing "Another One Bites the Dust" after the firing of Cleveland head coach David Blatt. How will the Cavs perform at home tonight against the visiting Bulls? Tune in at 7:30 P.M. on your local ABC channel to find out.
Meanwhile, I think I will visit YouTube and rock out.

Good News and Bad News
- The good news is that my Aggies won last night against LSU at Reed Arena. Whoop!
- The bad news for Kansas is that they lost to Oklahoma State. They were number three until last night happened.
- The worst news for Duke is their third straight loss in a row. Coach K will not stand for four. Watch out, NC State Wolf Pack. Blue Devils will be on a roll.
