Life continues at a steady breakneck pace for this little school teacher four weeks into her year. I saw former students playing 7th grade football on Tuesday evening. Although my boys ran out of time in the game, they played with heart in their first official game of the season. I will try to see them again this season.

Yep, they blew a 34 point lead. A tale of two halves once again. I still am hoping for my Aggies, but this season opener was not one to inspire Aggie Nation. C'mon, boys! Finish what you start! I am scratching my head over this one. Sigh.

At least Virginia Tech won. Now I am at 50 percent for the night and at 66.7 percent for my NCAA picks. Tonight the Tennessee Volunteers led by Smokey faces the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. I'll be singing "Rocky Top" at the top of my lungs.

NCAA Football is here for the next three to four months taking up my time on Saturdays as I watch as many games as possible on my television and smartphone. I also receive updates about scores, so now I am in sports heaven, so to speak. The NFL begins on Thursday, MLB games have higher stakes, Friday Night Lights have turned on high schools all over the Lone Star state, and here I sit ready, willing, and able. It's feast time for the Lady Gridiron.
